Welcome to our website.  The Honorary Consulate General of Romania in Hampton Roads Virginia is here to offer guidance to all of those interested in dealing with Romania, as well as to offer assistance to the Romanian nationals residing here or just travelling to this area.

The Greater Hampton Roads Region, located in the South-East corner of Virginia, includes 16 cities and counties among which the most noticeable ones are NORFOLK and VIRGINIA BEACH.  Any of the 2 million people, who call Hampton Roads home, including some 300 Romanian-American families, would tell you how great a place this is to live, work and play.

While preserving their heritage, the Romanian-Americans of Hampton Roads are happy to be part of this great cosmopolitan community. Their hard work and dedication, won them a respectable place among the 30 other ethnic communities of this region.

In addition to offering guidance and assistance, the Consulate organizes various activities throughout the year, events which are being announced to the public through this website, or through e-mail messages sent to those who subscribe.

Hoping that this website will provide you with interesting and valuable information, and, wishing you the best,

Tony Samoila

Honorary Consul General of Romania
